See everything on your Tonverk card. Lose nothing.
TonVault is a Mac app for Elektron Tonverk owners. It scans your SD card, shows every sample with waveform and metadata, flags the problems Tonverk won't warn you about, and keeps verified backups of your work. One-time purchase, no subscription. In development now.
Tell me when it shipsYour card, finally legible
TonVault indexes everything on the SD card and turns it into a searchable library. Every sample gets a waveform, sample rate, bit depth, mono or stereo, length and location, so you can find that sound from three months ago without renaming a single file. TonVault reads your card, it doesn't reorganize it.
A health check in plain language
Tonverk fails silently. Files that aren't 48 kHz play back with degraded quality and nothing tells you. Presets remember absolute paths, so a reorganized folder can quietly break them. A deleted sample just goes missing from every project that used it. TonVault checks the whole card in one pass and explains every finding in plain language, what it is, why it matters, and what to do about it.
A verified backup, not a hopeful one
Your whole live set lives on one SD card. TonVault makes versioned backups and verifies every file after copying, so you know the backup is complete before you trust it. Restoring is just as boring, which is the point.
What TonVault doesn't do
TonVault never deletes anything on your card. Duplicates and cleanup candidates are moved to a quarantine folder on your Mac, so every action is reversible. And TonVault doesn't read or edit projects, patterns or parameter locks. It's a companion for the material around your music, not an editor of the music itself.

TonVault is in development. Leave your email and I'll send you one message when it ships, and nothing else.
The signup form opens here shortly. Until then, you can follow the project in the Elektronauts thread where it started.
Made by a Tonverk owner
I'm Jarl. I make small, focused Mac apps for musicians, including It's mono, yo! and It's 404, yo!. I own a Tonverk and I'm building TonVault for my own card first. Like my other apps it runs entirely on your Mac, works offline, and has no account, no tracking and no subscription.
